Dr. Alan Shaw, Vice Chairman

I am a retired surgeon who spent my entire professional career in Georgia. Now I live in Big Sky Montana full-time. My newest and best profession is as a licensed fishing guide on the Missouri and Bighorn rivers. I am married and together we have four children and four grandchildren; all of whom love fishing, skiing and Montana. I have been deeply involved in environmental causes my entire life. I worked for the Sierra Club as a backpacking guide in the Sierra and Wind River ranges and am an advisory board member for the Bighorn River Alliance. I have been a UMOWA Board member for 3 years and now chair the Board. I am committed to the growth and expansion of UMOWA as well as the implementation of important projects in the coming months and years.
