The UMOWA raffle is intended to generate funds to support a two-year scientific Aquatic Plant project. Aquatic vegetation (native and invasive) will be documented over a 30-mile reach of the river from Holter Dam to Cascade. The project is conducted by Andrew Z Skibo, PhD, President of Amaruq Environmental Services. The goal is to determine the cause of excessively dense plant growth and its remediation is the objective of the project.
